You should think

... that with Christmas holliday and all that I would have plenty of time to write in my blog, well, time is not really the problem. The computer I'm currently using has got something very wrong with it, that causes it to work slower and slower on the net after I've started it up. I works great for the first 4 - 5 minutes, but after that I slows down and comes to a sudden stop at around 15 minutes after start. Then I'll have to restart the computer to get a couple of fast minutes on the net again. So, this is why I really don't feel like spending to much time on the net these days, it just anoys me to much. In January I'm buying a new computer...

I have now moved back to Solör, but my basement flat isn't fully ready yet, but soon....

Santa brought me lots of things that I had wished for so Christmas Eve was great.

I have received letters from both the University of Winchester and Chichester so I know that they have got my applications.

And no, I haven't done any work on my writing lately, it's Christmas holliday isn't it, this time should be spent doing as little usefull stuff as possible. I've been watching a couple of episodes of Lost Season 1 (I gave this to my father for Christmas), I have played a lot of Civ CTP II, and last night I watched "The Hitchhicker's guide to the galaxy" - and it really didn't do it for me. The film has lost so much compared to the book(s), I think I laughed about 3 times, and reading the book, well, hardly a page goes by without a laugh...

I've bought a ticked to a party on the 6th day of Christmas, looking forward to that. Quiet Christmases are ok, but a little action from time to time is also nice.

Well, then hope you all are having a great Christmas, and if I don't get back to you before New Year's Eve - I hope you have a happy new year as well!

I am sooooo sorry that I don't write much here these days. Life passes me by so quickly now, I don't know where they days have gone. I now suddenly find that I have only 3 more workdays left (tomorrow, Tuesday and Wednesday next week). On Thursday I head to England for 5 days short vacation, and before I leave for England on Thursday I'll be handing over the keyes to the flat in Oslo to my flatmate, so then I am officially moved to Solör.

Might get a rough start on my trip to England as well; tomorrow evening we're having our annual Christmas party at Oskar Braaten, and by experience I know that these parties are usually pretty wet and lasts till morning. Getting on the 1150 plane to Heathrow might feel a bit rough, but I'm sure I'll manage - I'm totally looking forward to this trip.

I still have some Christmas gift shoppping left, but I think I'll get most of that done this evening. I've written long lists so it's really just a matter of finding the time to do the actual shopping.

Next week I'll be staying with friends in Oslo from Tuesday till Wednesday, and then, for my very last night in Oslo I've booked myself into the Plaza hotel . We've got a Christmas party at work on next Wednesday evening, so staying at the hotel closest to the bus station seems to make sense - as I expect when waking up on the morning of Thursday the 22nd that I'll be pretty hangover but still wanting to get back to Solör as soon as possible - and a 5 minutes walk to the bus is then probably the most of what I'll be able to do that day.

And I guess that's all that's really on my mind for now. I might take some photos in England and post them here when I get back, then again, knowing me, I'll probably bring my camera and come back with no pictures what so ever because I've forgotten to use it. Oh, well.....

Second application

... and now my second application is also in the mail, to the University of Winchester. Exciting days indeed!

The next thing that should've been in the mail by now is the edited version of my novel "365 days" - I have however not at all had any time to work on this the last couple of weeks, so I will have to push my own deadline to get it ready till New Year. Not happy about this, but the day still has only 24 hours, even for me....

And I have now also only 8 work days left before leaving the Defence, wow - things are getting awfully "real" now!

First application sent

On Friday I sent my first application to university. This one was sent to the University of Chichester. I guess I shouldn't expect an answer from them this side of Christmas, but it really is exciting that I have now sent my first application.

I am also going to apply to the university of Winchester, I still haven't sent that application. One whould think that how the applications look and what sort of papers the universities demand would be the same, but it isn't. So, there are a couple of more things I'll have to fix before I can send the application to Winchester, will get it done next week though.

I still haven't decided which of the two I'll choose if I am accepted into both, but I am leaning more towards Chichester. This might be because I've actually been there though, and have seen the city and the university. I have now booked a trip to England from the 15th to the 19th of December, and the first night there I will spend in Winchester (before I go to London for the other 3 nights) so after having seen that city and university I might know more about where I want to spend next year.

These really are exciting times... And I am also moving soon as well...

Excellent!!

I had a 45 minutes walk to work this morning, in snowy weather and -3°C, quite excellent I must say! It's 1st of December, only 24 days till Christmas - and the weather is as Christmassy as it gets - and not even cold. It truly was a great start this morning, and an excellent start on the month of December!!
